For he’s a jolly good fellow: And so say all of us!
At our December monthly meeting and Christmas party, Credit Suisse veteran and member David Sneddon was awarded a Fellowship by the Society, recognising his contribution to technical analysis. After what he described as ‘’a very stimulating and fantastic career’’ he can now tag the letters FSTA onto his name. Well done him.
What you may not know, or were unable to watch, was his lecture at IFTA’s annual conference held in London in October 2014. There David gave a presentation entitled: De-cyphering Market Trends; Pattern and Ratio Analysis. In it he lays out his stall, and how his investment bank uncovers profitable opportunities in financial markets. He explains the practical methods they use, which include ranking, layering, and measures of confidence so that they can stack the odds in their favour.

I’m sure you’ll find this a really good talk.
