Jeremy Du Plessis BComm BEng (Hons) FSTA

Jeremy founded Indexia Research in 1983. Jeremy is an expert on Point and Figure charts. He lectures the Point and Figure module for the STA, and sets the Point and Figure module for the International Federation of Technical Analysts.

Jeremy has taught technical analysis to thousands of professional traders and investors over the past 20 years. He is a Fellow of the STA and author of the books ‘The Definitive Guide to Point and Figure’ and  ‘21st Century Point and Figure’.

STA Monthly Meeting June 2008 Understanding and Using Point & Figure Charts

Jeremy will give a quick refresher on Point and Figure charts and then discuss how they can be used objectively and effectively. He will also discuss how computers have allowed new and sophisticated techniques to be added to Point and Figure analysis.
STA Monthly Meeting April 2004 Optimisation from a Technical Analyst’s Point of View

Optimisation is a controversial subject. 20 years ago it was thought by many, including the speaker, to be the path to the ‘Holy Grail’. When it was discovered not to be the case, it was abandoned. Jeremy will look at Optimisation from a Technical Analyst’s point of view. He will discuss what it is and explore whether it can in fact be used by Technical Analysts to improve their decision-making.
