You Join The STA To Be Better
June 2020, The Most Critical Economic and Financial Time Period of Our Generation
The Society of Technical Analysts (STA) is the oldest organisation dedicated to technical analysis in the world. Established in the late 1960s, it has grown to a membership of c1200 individuals who are located on all four continents.
There are no prerequisites to joining the STA. Anyone with an interest in technical analysis is welcome to join! Our membership is culturally diverse. It spans the whole spectrum from students to retired members and from professionals to retail investors. There are several levels of membership which include: Student, Associate, Full, Affiliate (for other technical analysis organisations) and Fellows.
Interest in technical analysis is still growing and the STA Diploma qualification is internationally recognised by employers, who are ever more familiar with the subject matter and require a certain level of expertise from their job applicants.
Through our educational programme you can expand your knowledge of technical analysis. Should you wish to solidify that knowledge with an internationally accredited qualification, the STA holds four to six examinations per year. These examinations are held online and moderated by video.
If you join as a member you will receive the STA Members Newsletter which features the latest information on technical analysis, educational courses, conferences and events.
Our monthly London meetings give you the opportunity to mix with professional and retail investors alike and to build a network with other like-minded technical analysts. These meetings can also help you maintain your FCA registration through Continuous Professional Development (CPD).
Last but not least, several of our members have gained employment in banks, hedge funds or research institutions as technical analysts through the STA website job portal.
With access to so many resources STA membership offers great value for technical analysts of all levels.
The STA holds half of its monthly meetings in the City of London, including a summer and Christmas party where canapés and refreshments are served. The other half of our monthly meetings are held online.
